JET Jams 11/11

JET's Top 20 Singles is one of my favorite magazine staples. I often go through old issues just to see what was dominating radio in any given week/month/year.

November of 2002... This is one of the latest years in music I've shared in the JET Jams series so far. This list is a mix of both veteran and new talent in the industry. LL Cool J tops the list as a seventeen year old music vet (at the time) with his Neptunes-produced single "Love U Better", featuring Marc Dorsey. Other vets on the list are Missy Elliott (with "Work It"), Ginuwine (with "Stingy"), Gerald Levert (with "Funny"), and sadly... recently deceased Aaliyah (with "I Care 4 U").

2002 also saw some hot debuts... Ashanti, Heather Headley, Amerie, and Kelly Rowland all making solo efforts that year. I'd have to say that my favorites on this list, though, are India.Arie's "Little Things" (can we talk about how AMAZING her Voyage To India album was?) and B2K's "Why I Love You" (unexpected, I know).

Take a quick trip down memory lane with this list of 20 songs from 2002. Which were your favorites on the list?
