JET's Top 20 Singles is one of my favorite magazine staples. I often go through old issues just to see what was dominating radio in any given week/month/year.

Here are the top 20 Black singles from the week of August 1, 1988. Look... radio was so much more diverse back then! The list didn't feature the same three or four artist multiple times and while no two songs on the list sound the same, MCA and Elektra were putting out HITS!
